I love the theater mode.
I have one problem - it seems to be very ressource intensive and slows down my computer significantly.
How does this reveal itself?
a) the cooling fan is running all the time - well, yes the noise of this is not acceptable when playing silent songs
b) when I try to write an email in parallel, the writing is slowed down, i.e. when I hit a key on the keyboard there is a time delay - sometimes significant, so you cannot work properly in parallel
Since all the theater mode is doing is showing pictures in the background I assume that it must have to do with the graphics set-up.
I have a DELL XPS15 with two graphics cards:
1. Intel (R) HD Graphics 4600
2. Nvidia Geforce GT750M (which I assume is used only for 3D Games)
and an Eizo CG241W TFT monitor that I run in its maximum resolution (1920x1200) as extended display, where the media center is running in theater view.
Is there something that I can do to limit the ressource-hungriness of the theater mode? I really love it and would hate to not use it.
The DELL XPS15 is a multimedia laptop - in my mind it should be able to cope with such an operation.
Help is highly appreciated.
