Visual C++ runtime library crash on any visualization selection
« on: November 09, 2014, 09:40:11 am »

As soon as I select (try to enable) a visualization, I get an immediate MC20 crash on windows 7 x64.

Steps: start a playlist, go to display mode, right-click, select a visualization, and full crash (see screen shot). No error number or anything.

I'm guessing that it may not  be MediaCenter crashing; I tried to capture logs, but it doesn't appear that there is any info or crash dump in them.

Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

I can reproduce a crash as well.  Give us a couple days to investigate...

I can't reproduce the crash at work on a development machine :(

Is there some step-by-step to trigger the crash?

Matt,

Dang.  I was thrilled you reproduced initially.

I did list the steps in my initial post.

Steps: Start MC20, start playing a playlist, go to display mode, right-click, select a visualization, and full crash . No error number or anything.

It happens on any (every) visualization selection that I try and also I tired with a few different playlists (all did the same thing).

It's not crashing on any of our development machines >:(

I'm not sure what to do next...
