meta-data loading problem - solved for now.
« on: November 14, 2014, 03:03:29 am »

Every time I try to download a CD into JRiver, it keeps loading the same cover, artist, song title, etc. over. (It was a 10 track album and after that follows Track 11, etc. with no data.) The correct music plays though.

I've rebooted the computer and shut down and re-opened JR too.

What's up?

Just an old, old plain CD - Oscar Peterson from Emarcy/Polygram.

At least 10 different CD's all get the 10 Oscar Peterson cover, album name and song title.

Just before it started doing it, JRiver was loaded but my laptop was not connected up to the 'net yet. Though I've done that before, I've never had this problem before.

I'm not sure I'm following you. When you say download a cd to JRiver do you mean import a CD that you have ripped? . Or do you mean you have downloaded from a web supplier a cd and  then imported it into JRIver?

Inserting and ripping a CD into the computer one after another. So there looks like there are 10 "Brotherhood of Man" (the first track), though Brotherhood of Man(2) will be the first song from another CD. BoM(3) will be the first song of another CD, etc.

I didn't see the Update Online Information button. It worked fine as I loaded/ripped a CD. I did another one and it did fine.

Then I tried to rip another one thinking it was fine. When it stopped and ejected....it marked the songs as the Oscar Peterson disc instead of the one that was inserted!!!!
