Problem upgrading to MC 20
« on: November 23, 2014, 09:03:39 am »

I'm not sure what else to do. I am currently running MC 17. I purchased the upgrade to MC 20 and got the new registration code by e-mail. Media Center was not activated automatically I double click the attached install key I just get lines of code. Whenever I double click on the registration code link I get the message "error restoring the license." Any help would be appreciated. I'm prettyy amateur at doing this stuff

I did the same today: Upgrade to 20 from 17. It failed to installed automatically with the same error code. I am running INTERNET explorer as recommended.
I try restore a couple of times and got the same problem. I am down to 8 restores now. I hope J RIVER fixes this soon and give me back the two restores that I have just wasted!

This is not what I expect after using J RIVER since Media 16

Yes. You must download and install MC20 to be able to install your license.

Also, read this:

Don't worry about using up your restores.  JRiver staff can reset these for you if needed.
