Linux as server, windows as client; need license?
« on: November 26, 2014, 07:49:06 am »

Guys,

I'm running linux MC as headless server with license installed. But i want to use MC on my windows PC for playback / configuration. According to posts earlier i should be able to use the license to activate multiple MC copies, but since the linux and windows licenses are different this isn't working right now. Any resolutions available?

Linux and Windows are separate licenses.

Hi, you need to buy a copy per o/s, but linux server / windows client works perfectly (that matches my own setup).

xubuntu lts 14.04 32 bit, running mc22.0.36 as anything later doesn't work properly over vnc. using linux mc22 as media server to windows mc22 last version / jremote on ipad.
