It's a miracle anything works
« on: November 13, 2014, 01:11:44 am »

[Edit -- split by JimH from the Weird and Wonderful thread, a long list of problems caused by other software, drivers, and hardware.]

begin MikeO -------

A somewhat scary list especially in the light of my experiences over the past few weeks.

Would it not be a good idea to pin this at the top of the forum , I for one didn't know that a running list like this existed

Cheers

There are a lot of references to it on the site.  It's in my signature, for example.  It's in the FAQ.

I would not like to give people browsing the forum such a negative first impression, especially since the problems in it are all caused by other software or hardware, and not by MC.

Indeed, this is a fascinating look at how all the rest of the cruft is trying to wedge itself into how the machine works.

That thread doesn't contain any of the recent problems documented in the  Antivirus Problems thread.
