happens with mkv and standard dvd structure files on the local drive

audioquest dragonfly wasapi.

more info. it is only the WASAPI driver with JRiver that causes it. direct sound does not.  this is the audioquest dragonfly mk2

WASAPI has two modes.  Toggle "Event Style".

Your machine is a little weak.  Run a benchmark under Help and paste the result here.

pretty milquetoast, i agree.  i didnt have issues though until the dragonfly was introduced . maybe it is something with that, IDK? at any rate, sorry for getting testy, im human in spite of my best efforts!

Thanks.  Did you try both settings for WASAPI?

Try Direct Sound.

Try no DSP.

Try another USB port.

yessir, as mentioned above, the direct sound and other modes work fine. it is only WASAPI with the dragonfly and jriver. so....im not sure whats happening.

Did you try the option for "Disable Event Style" in the WASAPI settings? It can help with some "picky" audio devices.

ja, I did, still problems. only with wasapi though, only with the dragonfly.


but im using direct sound right now, alles klar
