Ticks and pops with Media Center 20
« on: December 05, 2014, 04:46:03 pm »

I've upgraded to Media Center 20 and noticed random ticks and pops overlaying the audio. It happens with 2-channel audio outputted in that format and in 7.1-channel format upmixed using JRSS. I'm using HDMI from an ATI card. This led me to also try Media Center 19, which also has ticks and pops. Is there some setting I can change to get rid of the ticks and pops?

Try adjusting the several buffer settings under audio options.  The most important is the audio device buffer.  Also check out the wiki for some tips: http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Pops_and_Clicks

Thanks, I'll try setting the audio device buffer.
