20.0.45 (12/5/2014)

1. Changed: Cmd-Q now works properly for exiting the application.
2. Changed: Holding the Control key while clicking the left mouse button now works correctly for bringing up the context menu (right-click menu).

20.0.40 (11/21/2014)

1. Fixed: DLNA: MC as renderer, when receiving a SetNextAVtransportURI, MC was allowing the playlist to grow beyond 2 items which is incorrect. This caused playlist sync issues.
2. Fixed: DLNA: MC as controller, fix bug in event send when changing playlist position 1.
3. Fixed: DLNA: MC as controller timing issue, make sure the first track is playing (for at least 5 seconds) before doing the SetNextAVTransportURI function.
4. Fixed: DLNA: MC as controller, when playlist position current +1 changes send a new SetNextAVTransportURI to devices that support it.
5. Fixed: The change from 20.0.31 (Back out library server hiding when the library is empty introduced in 19.0.71) missed the library server visibility (it was showing the DLNA servers).

20.0.39 (11/18/2014)

1. Fixed: Search box in upper right was broken in build 38.  Also tag editing wasn't working right and would sometimes crash.
2. NEW: Added support for APE audio format encoding.

1. Fixed: 'Select font...' dialog in Options / View & Tree was crashing on Yosemite.
2. Changed: Default music path template on handheld devices changed from [Artist]/[Album] to [Album Artist (auto)]/[Album].
3. Fixed: Full-Screen video playback is actually fullscreen and hides the menu and dock.
4. NEW: Support for Shorten and Opus audio playback using the new JR playback engine (using FFmpeg).
5. Fixed: Recent builds were crashing on 10.6.8 systems due to some OpenGL video functions that didn't exist on 10.6.8.  Now the crash is gone and video is only supported on 10.7 and up.
6. Fixed: While Options dialog was shown, if another app was activated the Options dialog would still show on top.
7. Fixed: While Options dialog was shown, if DSP Studio was selected it showed under the options dialog.

1. Fixed: Video playback uses full resolution rendering on Retina screens for improved quality.
2. Fixed: Crashes when importing videos.
3. Fixed: Showing video in display view was crashing.
4. Fixed: CUE file parsing updated to better handle link filenames.

1. NEW: Video playback support!  It's brand new on Mac so there may be some issues.  Please test and report, thanks.
2. Fixed: Drop box not working in Add Library View / View As, also the drop box for Bitstreaming choices was not working.
3. Fixed: File name paths containing single quotes were failing to move/copy.
4. Fixed: Possible fix for text entry of Asian characters.  Please test and let us know.
5. Fixed: App is now signed to comply with latest Yosemite requirements.
6. Fixed: Some handheld syncs would fail due to very long filenames.
7. Fixed: AIFF files that have a tag that's one byte longer than the metadata will still import (previously we would fail to read the tags).

1. Fixed: An inserted CD was not reliably being found by Media Center.
2. Fixed: The options dialog disappears and the app appears frozen if the user clicks on Media Center outside the dialog window.
3. Fixed: Web page links that wanted to open a new window were being ignored, now they open in an external browser.

Command Q does not quit out of the program but rather opens a search box. But, it does now work correctly in the new PMW update.

Bug:

- the display of the cover art gets a life of its own and becomes persistent with the screen rather than its display box, and cant be got rid of. the only way is to quit MC and start again

I have installed this update. I cannot rip CDs. Any advice? I am sure it is not the JRiver program at fault.

I can see another issue got fixed: MC no longer asks for confirmation on the server for actions that clear the playlist done on JRemote. Many thanks for fixing this.

Just a comment in passing, with no real expectation of a fix…
Ok so this is weird and probably only noticeable under long term running conditions.

The sound quality changes (gets 'better') after a re-start.
It usually takes 24+ hrs of continuous running with several stop/starts thrown in for good measure.

I have also noticed that a complete computer start along with the dac and amp etc also improves the SQ.
Even immediately after a MC restart.
I have noticed this over many months.

I have NO clue how this can be…
Except, it may be that since all data held in ram is cleared with a restart, it could be that when the OS - MC links are 'reset' the SQ is 'optimal'.

Other than that I got nuth'n.

Perhaps you are seeing something because of disk activity when spotlight is running on startup?
You could turn that off to test the theory (you add your connected disks to the privacy part of spotlight settings by dragging them in there).
That's the only thing I can think of...

Are you playing anything in that screenshot?  If not, play something.

Because Analyzer is working on Mac here.

Perhaps you are seeing something because of disk activity when spotlight is running on startup?
You could turn that off to test the theory (you add your connected disks to the privacy part of spotlight settings by dragging them in there).

I turned it all off.

One thing to note is this only seems to happen after 24hrs of continuous running.
And I'm going to continue to 'troubleshoot' this to zero in on what is invoved vs
Right now it seems systemic in that a complete reset (all hardware and all software) after being restarted makes the most difference in SQ, even if I restart everything right after just a Media Center retstart.

At this point since it seems to involve a huge number of variables (high complexity) it could be anything or more likely it could just be some specific interaction between seemingly unrelated processes.

same thing happens for me after about 24 hours runtime, except it renders itself by giving me dropouts and clicks which go away by resetting both hardware and software. it happens everyday for me where i have to reset the lot.

Yes, music is playing while that screenshot is taken.  I'm really glad its working for you.  It's clearly not working for me.
Do you have any suggestions?  It's been like this on multiple versions on MC20.

When you are having issues with MC please post the version of OSX your are running on, this is quite important.
The hardware model would be nice as well.
