Is there a short cut available for adjusting the A/V sync correction?

no but if you sync once with one of these files (BBC is a good one) you don't have to go back and forth -- just split the windows between the browser and JR ==>http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=93554.msg637551#msg637551
