Console Mac Messages about MC20: What does it mean ?
« on: January 02, 2015, 05:46:38 am »

Hello

I just looked at the console and I have the following messages

PM Media Center 20[3271]: objc[3271]: Class SPMediaKeyTap is implemented in both /Applications/Media Center 20.app/Contents/MacOS/Media Center 20 and /Applications/Media Center 20.app/Contents/MacOS/libJRTools.dylib. One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined.

I have the same message for 20 different "Class", all of them starting with JR.

I was wondering if my Media 20 was installed correctly ? If that was not causing all the troubles I have with it now ?

Thanks for your help

Regards

Did you get a response on this topic?  I'm having the same problem with MC20 that I just downloaded.  MC19 working fine but I see the same errors you reported in Console with MC20.  MC20 seems to be constantly restarting too.  At least I'm seeing a duplicate MC20 icon show up repeatedly and then disappear on my application bar.

I've noticed these same messages for a long time now.  I only noticed them because I was troubleshooting my audio issues with Media Center and I went looking in the Console for any possible clues.

I don't have any "double icon" behavior.  I'm not even sure what that is.  I *think* these messages are just informational, as opposed to "this is broken!".  The programmers will ultimately have to decided if they are a problem, or just extra information.  Just to be complete, here's a sample from my system:

Those messages are normal and the result of how we set up the libraries.  At some point we might look into removing the messages, but seeing as they don't cause problems it isn't a high priority.
It's also normal for a second MC icon to appear briefly in the dock.  This is part of MC called JRWorker.  We might also look into making it not appear, but it isn't high priority.
