Re boot to cure video judder ...
« on: January 06, 2015, 12:12:55 am »

Hi All,

Just recently I have noticed video reply becoming more and more choppy.

This used to be noticeable when playing DVDs, so I used Make MKV to convert them. The whole lot!

Now, video is choppy when playing any source (avi, MKV, DVD ...), but re booting cures the problem for a while.

My HTPC has 16GB memory and an i7 cpu.

It is clean with only Any DVD loaded plus MS security essentials before MC20 runs.

I should add the the HTPC is set to sleep and I reboot every week or so to fix the problem.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

You should monitor your system with Windows Resource Monitor to see what the CPU, Memory, Disk(s) are doing during this sluggishness.
And possibly attach a log for the developers to view.
