1. Changed: The Swap(...) expression has special handling for strings that end with Jr., Sr., I, II, III, IV, V.

3. Changed: Cover Art > Add From File opens at the location of the file instead of at the last folder used (but only if the folder contains at least one image).
4. Fixed: MC did not scan for program map table when playing clear QAM television channels, causing problems recording in .TS format.
5. Changed: For ATSC and QAM television channels, MC will try alternative ways to find audio and video packet IDs in case the usual method fails.

2. Changed: Made it optional to increase the volume of DSD to PCM by +6 dB (Options > Audio > Advanced > Configure input plug-in > DSD input plug-in) (note that you need to reanalyze for volume level if you make this change).
3. Changed: Added a bunch more stock Smartlists (create using Tree > Playlists > Right-click > Add Stock Smartlists).

1. Fixed: DLNA: MC as renderer, when receiving a SetNextAVtransportURI, MC was allowing the playlist to grow beyond 2 items which is incorrect. This caused playlist sync issues.

3. Fixed: DLNA: MC as controller timing issue, make sure the first track is playing (for at least 5 seconds) before doing the SetNextAVTransportURI function.
4. Fixed: DLNA: MC as controller, when playlist position current +1 changes send a new SetNextAVTransportURI to devices that support it.
5. Fixed: The change from 20.0.31 (Back out library server hiding when the library is empty introduced in 19.0.71) missed the library server visibility (it was showing the DLNA servers).

I edited my previous post to make it more clear (hopefully). If UAC is off, then you will probably never be prompted. Installing device drivers is one thing that triggers a UAC prompt. If it is turned off, then no more prompt.

UAC is a security measure.

If a program normally silently installs something.... but if there is any security, then it asks first... then it is acting like a virus (or a teenager who quietly enters the house at 2am unless mom is awake waiting in the living room.)

It should always prompt (unless there is some existing opt-in setting).

Possible bug (this occurred already with the previous version):

For easy access I changed the default "cover art" path to "C:\Cover Art\". The problem is now that Media Center has stopped importing cover art for TV shows and seasons. I think changing the folder location is the only change I have made, since it stopped working. However if I manually copy a image to the "cover art" folder, it displays correctly. So it appears that it is just automatically fetching the images that don't work.

I assume that when selecting "get Movie & TV Info" it should also at the same time get the show and season cover.

No I think it is a two step process. You do "get Movie & TV Info" to get the poster art and metadata then "get from internet..." to get the series show and season cover.

Thanks for the input, I just tried the "get from internet..." and I could indeed get a series/season cover that way. But should this really be necessary? I have my TV show folder on "auto-import", before I did not have to do anything manually, MC just grabbed the covers from tvdb automatically. Now recently it doesn't (even though I have checked that there is artwork available on tvdb).

So I reckon either something recently changed in MC or I accidently messed up some setting.

When watching YouTube within M C's Connected Media section, I am shown a message statiing that my browser needs to be updated.

When I open my Chrome browser and check the update status I am told that I do in fact have the most recent version.

Does MC use my installed browser or does it come with it's own built-in browser?

I am sorry that I don't know at which version this started, but

20.0.52 Portable version is "heavy" - slow. What ever I want to do takes a few seconds before the program responds.

For sure 20.0.47 Portable version is light.

Possible bug:

Changing volume is now often laggy. If I press the volume key every time it will go up by 1% as expected but if I hold it down it will get stuck at the previous volume before jumping to a much higher volume at a later time (couple second delay).

I can't reproduce this.  The slider moves nicely for me.

I wonder if setting the volume on your system could be slow?  What if you try using 'Internal volume' in MC?
