I attempted to install the nomad plugin on the MJ plugin web page.  When I attempted the 7.0 plug I would get an error stating Package not installed. The 8.0 version installed, but MJ does not see my player.  Is this plugin compatible with the Nomad IIc?  If so, what am I doing wrong?

You can either install MJ v8 and then use the v8 Plug-in, or you will have to get the v7 Plug-in for v7.  You cannot use the v8 Plug-in for v7.  If you still have difficulty getting the v7 via download, email me at steve@jriver.com and I can email it to you.
