JRiver Library Update
« on: January 13, 2015, 05:45:49 pm »

Hi All,

My music server library doesn't seem to auto update , well it does but its always doing updating tags while I'am listening to music and that makes it impossible to listen to DSD being streamed from my NAS.

So I disabled the background library update.

Would there be a way I can set a fixed schedule during which the library updates?

Do you mean auto import?  There is no schedule for it, but you can do an import manually.

Yes, I meant auto import.
Ah what a shame.
Even Plex does auto import for its library.

Wish I could set a schedule for it.

The system is much more advanced than what Plex does, which allows it to run immediately and continuously without requiring a schedule.  However, some NAS devices don't support Filesystem events properly (because they're broken) and then the system doesn't work well.  There is a way to schedule them if you need to, though a better solution would be to fix your filesystem storage location so that Filesystem events work right (because it isn't only MC that uses these and relies upon them).

Please see this Wiki page for a full explanation:
