Topic: Theater View, have Movies default to Grid (Read 1288 times)

Hi
I mostly use MC on my HTPC in Theatre View in a client-server environment.
When I boot MC and go to Movies in Theatre View it defaults to the iTunes like Name view. I would like it to default to Grid view, how do I achieve this?

Did you try the "Toggle Views" at the top of the screen in Theater View (Go to "More > Toggle List Style")
On my system, whatever view I put it into, it stays.

You need to open theater view on the server once and switch to the view you want to change, and then modify the list style there, and it will be the new default on all clients.

Its a bit unfortunate that it doesn't stick on clients otherwise, I wonder if I should look into that sometime..

Thanks for the replies.
I am currently unable to run Theatre View on my server as it is headless and Remote Desktop does not support DirectX 3D.
Will either have to connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse to it or find a solution to run DirectX 3D remotely.
But at least I now know what I need to do.

Never had an issue running VNC to access Theater View.

You can also try TeamViewer.
