Do they even put them in computers nowdays? When was the last time you used a floppy drive?
crack the case, unplug it from the power supply and the motherboard....problem solved!

I still have a 3.5" drive laying on my desk. It's a NEC. I think I still have a 5.25" NEC drive upstairs somewhere in a box.

That's the only thing that works for me. Except for the minor detail that the seeking problem is with the blu-ray drive.
