Buffering issues while attached to Bluesound Vault
« on: February 13, 2015, 01:29:01 pm »

I just set up a Bluesound Vault upstairs in my house to allow for wireless high resolution music.  I moved by itunes and high resolution music to the Vault.  I re-indexed JRiver 20 so that it would find the music in its new location.  I use a Macbook in my downstairs office with a different audio system (compared to what is upstairs connected to hdtv, etc.)

Now that I have switched over to the new location, high resolution files- at least 24/88 on up start requiring buffering about 30-35 seconds in and occasionally force JRiver to quit altogether.

Just wondering is this is solvable with settings or if this configuration will even work.  The Vault has its own address on my network.

Make sure that your antivirus program isn't set to check every file every time it's opened.

Is it a wired connection?

I'm not aware of any anti-virus software running.  The Vault is directly connected to a Comcast Xfinity Router.
