When I view my CD in Media Center 'devices' I see the name of a CD I ripped earlier.  If I put a new CD in the drive, I still see the name of the earlier CD in MC 'devices'.  The rip tool shows the name of the earlier CD.  If I run rip with a new CD in the drive, another copy of files from the earlier CD are written. Doing a hard boot does not fix the problem.  No matter what new CD I put in the drive, the rip process starts to rip the earlier CD (which is now back on the shelf).

What is going on and how can I fix the problem?

I fixed the problem by creating a new library.
