Output currently playing track info to a txt file

Hello,
Does anyone know of a way for me to output the currently playing track info from Media Center 20 to a text file, mainly artist and track name, on a mac? I have found a third party program that does it for me nicely on windows but cant seem to find a solution for my mac. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
