Return plays things, even when editing
« on: March 05, 2015, 03:12:40 pm »

Hi all –

Say you're changing the name of a playlist. You type it in and then hit return. It's playing now! This isn't the behavior I'm used to. Did this change recently? Can I change it back? I think pretty much everyone is used to hitting return to finalize editing something...

Thanks –

Return on a *dialog window* plays whatever is selected. This is weird and new behavior.

Thanks –

This has always bothered me, and is inconsistent with the Windows builds.

While editing tags directly in the view:
Windows, return = commit tag change.
OSX, return = commit tag change and start playing track.

Has this always been the case in the Mac version? It feels like a recent change to me (either that or I am editing tags remotely much more now and so never noticed it before).

Hello Micah,

I don't know whether it is a recently because I started to do all of my tag changes at MC, but it also bothers me to have playing and pause if I press return right after changing the tags & press return. You are right when I press return after the name of playlist the music plays. Like you said, it doesn't happen in Windows version.

Best regards,
Y. G.
