Very simple problem with what is possibly not a very simple solution: using a client that is interacting with a library server, attempting to make use of the rename, move, & copy files feature in an attempt to move files on a remote hard disk from one folder to another on that same volume (I am not trying to move or copy them to the client or anywhere else) does not move the files, nor does it offer to delete the empty folders in the original location (because, y'know, they're not empty; it's not working). I am attempting to work with BD and DVD rips in folder structure (via DVDFab). MC creates the directories in the destination location (BACKUP, META, STREAM, &c.) once I sync changes, but does not move the actual assets (the MPLS, the index.bdmv, &c.). I have set up my HomeGroup correctly and shared the relevant directories.
What do I have to do to get this to work properly?
To anyone wondering, "Why not just do it on the server?" - I have a dual-monitor setup at my server; one is a regular computer monitor, while the other is a plasma screen TV. There is no way to detach MC theatre view from standard view, like I could with display view, and drop it onto the plasma display for less risk of burn-in while I make metadata edits with the far-more-intuitive standard view on the regular monitor. I also know of no way to have MC automatically jump to the regular monitor when put into standard view, and then have it jump back to the plasma display when put into theatre view. The only time I want to take MC out of theatre view on the server is to alter MC's options; I do not want to have to sear my retinas every time I want to rename, move, & copy something, or to edit metadata, hence the client/server route. Unfortunately, it's not working as intended.

If it is not possible, please let me know.
