EPG OSD with http URLs as channels
« on: March 18, 2015, 10:29:51 am »

Can MC show EPG OSD not only for .tvlb files, but and for other types too, like for .mpeg or .ts?

My "TV tuner" its playlist with http links contains mpeg2 and mpeg4 streams. MC works fine with it.
I can assign EPG numbers for this links, but its shows only in "Television" standart view, its a hack (urls assigned as channels to analog tuner, file type changed from .tvlb to .mpeg) and doesn't show OSD :(.

TV without tuner - why not, I think its a future. Nice for Linux. Please add support.

Thanks

Since you actually play something that is not a TV tuner, it is handled in a different playback engine which is not aware of anything related to TV programs.  So, not possible now.  Maybe in the future.
