How do you modify Standard View?
« on: March 24, 2015, 04:40:59 am »

Hi,
I noticed the way Theatre View presented albums was a bit odd. i.e. I have a dozen albums by various artists that are all called Greatest Hits. In Theatre View MC would present them as one single album called Greatest Hits with over 100 tracks I was able to resolve this and make MC present these albums as separate entities as I prefer to see them. I then went further and got MC to separate SACD versions of albums from the CD version and also split a SACD into stereo and multichannel versions and display appropriate text to identify albums including high sample rate versions.
Feeling very pleased with myself I thought I would now do the same for Standard View but I cannot find the appropriate place to edit the display of albums in this view can you please point me to the correct menu to do this.

Thanks in advance
Paul

Right click on any view to edit it.  Then save it with a different name.

That was what I was looking for thanks.
But following on, I am having an issue getting the text do display what I want.
When entering an expression to group by, then another expression to display, the text always shows the "group by" expression and not the "to display" expression.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong or misunderstanding what these do?
Using latest stable version 20.0.63
Thanks again
