How to delete an unwanted library
« on: April 12, 2015, 04:19:28 am »

I am a first time user of MC and by mistake created a library called sky fm by dragging  sky fm from connected media (under audio) and dropping it into playing now. There is a folder which says playing from sky fm.
Now when I open JRiver I get a box which says this database will be opened in read only mode and I get directed to sky fm. Then I have to wait while my media is imported into the libray each time I open up MC.
When I try to delete sky fm  it doesnt allow me to do it.
How can I get back to to my original format prior to creating this sky fm library (how to delete it)
Appreciate any help on this.

to remove a library on the top menu go File=>Library=>Library Manager then delete

Welcome to the forum btw :)

edit: not sure you created a library though ... a zone maybe?

I'm not sure you can create a Library via drag-and-drop.  The items under Connected Media don't seem to be draggable for me at all.  But, the Library Manager is described here:
http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Library_Manager

You cannot delete the currently active Library.

Thanks for your help. I managed to delete sky.fm, but now the main library does not hold my music files  so when I close JRiver  the music files disappear and when I open again I have to wait for the files to import each time. Seems I have somehow created a monster. Any ideas are most welcome.
