Hi,

When I play a movie (any kind of video really), the screen will first go black (TV is still powered on and remained on, not standby) but the audio will start playing...after 2 to 3 sec, the video started showing....

So to people who are watching the movie, it is like the movie started without the pictures...

I have tried all sort of things but cannot change this behaviour...I don't think this has happened to me on v19 of JRiver however...any help please?

It sounds like this is due to your display being quite slow to handle refresh rate changes.
If you check Tools → Options → Video → Display Settings there is an option for "Wait after change (use if display changes slowly)" which should fix this.

I have that wait after change parameter already set to "none".....but the screen is still slow to come back on.

My GPU is Gigabyte GTX-750Ti and the TV is a Sony Bravia KDL-50W800B running at 1920 x 1080 32bit @ 60hz.

Any other ideas?

You cannot speed up the display changing. That's a function of the TV or monitor, not the computer.
 
The way that you correct for this is to pause the video for those 2-3 seconds while the display is black, which is what that setting controls.

Well as I said, you can at least fix the problem where you "lose" 2-3 seconds of video because it continued to play while the display was switching refresh rates.
 
I prefer that to having the audio continue while the screen is black.
