It keeps finding redbook files!!
« on: May 19, 2015, 04:55:31 pm »

I use the product for high resolution but every time I import something into iTunes, JRiver finds them so I have to delete them out of JRiver. How do I avoid this?

Sounds like you have the itunes music folder set up in JRiver for Auto Import.  Auto Import is a list of folders that JRiver monitors for new files.  Anything put in those folders gets imported into JRiver.

Go check your Auto Import folder list in:  Tools -> Options -> Library & Folders -> Configure Auto Import

You should see a list of folders in the dialog box.  If one or more of your itunes music folders is there and you don't want JRiver to import from there, remove it from the list.

What gets imported should be based on file extensions, not folders. This is a design flaw.

^ You can configure JRiver to import based on file extension too!

Go back to Configure Auto Import.   Find one of the folders you are interested in and click Edit.  You'll see a dialog that shows "Import These File Tyes".  There you can select exactly what types of Audio, Video, etc files you want imported.  Those selections will apply just to that folder.  If you have more folders you want monitored, you can configure them appropriately too, to only get the file types you want.  :)

Let us know how that works out for you.
