Playlist question
«

A how-to question. I can find no reference to this in the user manual. It's probably easy to do, but I haven't found it yet.
I want to set up a playlist, but I do not want the files to play automatically. I want to control when and if they play. How do I do it?

I don't understand your question. Please describe what you want to do with your songs in your playlist to "control when or if they play".

I want to manually select any individual track in the playlist, and when it is finished playing, playback ceases. I then select another track to play on so on. As it is now, a playlist automatically preceeds to the next track on the playlist.

I think you can right click on your track and do that with the "Other Play Option" called "Play Now".

I'm relatively certain that one setting in MC will do this for you:
Tools > Options > General > Behavior > Double-click
Make note of what it's set to now so you can set it back. Then set it to: Add to Playing Now (play now)
In my testing that does what you described as best as I can determine. Let us know how that works for you.

Oh and note that you want to start with Playing Now empty for playback to totally stop every time a song ends. So go to Playing Now > Player > Clear Playing Now . Then go to a playlist and double click a track to play it. When it ends, double click another to play it.
