Convert 24bit to 16bit
« on: July 01, 2015, 01:08:39 am »

Hi

I have set up my NAS share as an external device which I use for multiroom audio via Sono devices.
Sadly the Sonos only supports 16bit 44khz audio.

Is there a way that I can downsample my 24bit "high khz" audio tracks to Sonos compatibility via MC for that "device"?

I suspect you set up a Sonos zone and specify 16/44.1 as the format it supports. MC will down sample on the fly.

Hi

PC with mediacenter is not connected to Sonos via audio cable. I just put the files on the NAS, but I found somewhere that I can specify the bit-depth in the settings for each "device". I will take a look when I get home as I did not see that option yesterday

Probably under MC's Media Network settings for MC's DLNA Server.
