Playing 548K FLACs

Hi there, I recently downloaded a  548K FLAC from the CORO music choral site.

It is visible to MC Center, along with the album art.

When I play it on my renderer (Stream Magic) it downgrades the resolution to 320K MP3 however.

Can someone please advise on the MC settings I should use to overcome this?

I use JRemote as my control point btw.

Is Transcoding activated in the JRemote settings or in the DSP settings of MC?

It is in the DSP settings of MC Roland.

Then you should deactivate it there. Plus, make sure that really no transcoding to MP3 is activated in JRemote.

I will try this, Roland, with 'don't convert audio' in the Media Network Tab in MC and with transcode audio greyed out in JRemote.

This is interesting, the display on the StreamMagic reckons I am playing a 320KBs MP3 but JRemote tells me it is a 548K Flac.

I may give JRemote the benefit of the doubt here and, in which case,the problem is solved.

I will have a good listening session on Tuesday anyway.

Well the Stream Magic is described as an "upsampling player" so my simplistic answer to your question would be "yes".

I'm not sure how I could verify this accurately though.

I will wind this topic up now, I can now play the higher resolution FLACs by using the PCM 24 bit Audiophile settings in MC20.

JRemote is set to NOT transcode audio.

Sounds sublime now on my player - thank you developers!!!
