TMDb API broken or TMDb having issues?
« on: December 03, 2013, 03:04:49 pm »

Just like Rotten Tomatoes a week or two ago today TMDb has worked only once or twice out of 10 attempts.  Either it is missing from searches or it won't return results when there are search hits.

Anyone else running into this?

When it does present a result (which is mostly but not always) I get "no information available from selected result" message.  Just happened seconds ago on the movie Epic, also happening with Star Trek Into Darkness.

I have been having issues with TMDb for months. I store my movies in the following format: TITLE_OF_MOVIE.mkv  I get wikipedia results, but only get TMDb when I have replaced the underscores with spaces.  Periods do not work either in titles for me (THE.MOVIE.TITLE.mkv)

You should put a clean name in the Name field of MC.

The filename can use any delimiter you like.

Carnac should do this automatically on import.

After fighting TMDb most of yesterday it settled down about 6pm CST. It has worked since then. I'm guessing they broke their plumbing and fixed it late in the day. It has been working today as well.

I know this is old but I am having the same issues... been happening for around 2-3 months.  When I select to Get Movie and TV Info, I never get any results from TMDb.  I used to... and now nothing.  Even if something simple.  What is the best source typically for Movie info?  Seems harder to get a decent synopsis and cover sometimes....  thanks
