Reset Skin Effects Colour [Solved}
« on: July 22, 2015, 12:41:14 pm »

Hi,

After changing skins I used the "skins effects" dialogue box to "add colour (high contrast)"

Looked good and I should of left it there

I then played around in "colour" settings (mistake) and have a very red (High Contrast) view

I can reset the brightness and contrast but how do I reset the colour

There are 48 boxes but non seem to reset it to standard

Am using MC 20 0 131 and have gone back to 124 and then back to 131 in case that reset it

Using "effects" set to "none" its fine on Black On Black - Standard, but I liked it with "Add Colour (high Contrast)"

Thanks for any help

The most simple way might be for you to restore a database backup.  Backups are made automatically, but I don't know exactly how often.  I usually have at least one every 2 or 3 days.  The key here is to restore a backup but to ONLY RESTORE SETTINGS.

File > Library > Restore Library...

Navigate to a backup made before you made the change and select it.  Make sure the box for "settings" is checked and the box for Library is unchecked.  That should restore just your settings from before you made the skin effects change.

Hi Brian

No did not work tried a couple of backups well in the past made no difference

Probably best for me to uninstall the programme delete every thing then re-import my files

Have purchased MC 21 licence may wait until available and do a fresh install if that's going to be possible ?

That seems a little excessive...

Here's a default install, with no changes made, and the default colour settings for "add colour (high contrast)"...

Hope that helps a bit...
