JRiver Renderer - slow to respond to change
« on: July 28, 2015, 11:19:51 pm »

Greetings,

I'm trying to unify my systems to one control point, BubbleUPNP.  JRiver seems to function with gapless when transitioning from one track to the next with no issue, but when forcing next track in my playlist (even if jriver has started the preload) it takes between five and ten seconds to start playback.  In comparison, with FB2K as a renderer it starts almost immediately (less than one second) even if the track isn't preloaded - a significant difference in speed.

Is there any way to increase JRiver's responsiveness to track changes being pushed over UPNP?  To clarify, JRiver being used as both server and renderer, and while I know "native" (for lack of better terminology) controller apps tend to function seamlessly I don't want to have to bounce between multiple methods of input.

Make sure DSP studio on the renderer is turned off and see if that makes any difference.
At home mine plays tracks faster than any other device I've seen.
