Feature Request: DSP Loopback
« on: August 05, 2015, 08:27:48 am »

Hi Guys, I was wondering if there was any chance of adding a second WDM device allowing DSP to be applied to it. This would allow MC to be used as the player, then send out the signal to an external processor such as Dirac Live, then to return to MC for active crossover and other things to be done. At present the only way of doing this AFAIK is to not use MC to play the file in the first place. The only reason I feel that I need to do it this way is that the Dirac measurement will need to be done with the crossover in place.

Alternatively a standalone DSP instance of MC with an independent WDM driver would maybe work? I would not object to running to MC instances but I don't think this can be done at present to achieve what I want?

This has been requested a while ago too, I replied to this before realising it was a MC 19 thread:
