newbie upgrade question

I have been using MC 19 for awhile now and want to upgrade to 21 for the new epg.  the download though only does a fresh new install of 21 with nothing transferred.  Is there something im missing or would I have to redo all my settings?

leave 19 installed, make a backup in 19, install 21 and use the back up from 19 to install your library and settings..

Any chance you know how to get the EPG working?  It comes up 3 times with mc2xml config then on the third time it fails with 'The guide data is not valid, or does not contain any program information'.  Also when it show my channels there is no guide channels to match with, just an empty drop down box.

sorry I only use MC for music and movie playback but be patient someone will be along to help with that

The mc2xml choice will work in the U.S.  Make sure you enter your zip code and choose Microsoft.

when I rescanned the channels it now sorta works.  But I have two options in EPG of mc2xml and auto.  the channels I find in mc2xml will show up in the guide but only about half of the channels are listed there.   Auto has all the channels I need but none of the ones I match with guide channels shows up in the guide in theater mode.  Ive tried selecting just auto but this still doesnt have them shown in the guide.
