Streaming music from my PC to TEAC NP-H750
« on: August 07, 2015, 10:15:21 am »

Hello,

I'm having issue setting up my JRiver 19 to stream music over my network, to my Teac NP-H750 Hi-Fi in the next room. I was hoping that I could get any advice here.

When ever I drag an audio file into the NP-H750 player that is in the playing now within the media centre, I get the same message; There is a problem controlling the selected DLNA device. Double check you device, server, and network settings.
I'm not sure where the issue could be. I have two routers (due to distance) in the next room, and to connect the two routers, and PC, I have used power line adapters. The two routers have been configured too come under the same network, the second router being wired into the Hi-Fi, Tele etc.
I'm having the same issue playing movies as well.
When I use the Hi-Fi to play music, I can scroll one by one through all the albums and select whichever I want to play. But JRiver won't let me control it from the PC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated in this. If you want too see screen shots please just ask, I'm sorry I can't be any clearer!

What kind of track file are you trying to push to the TEAC? Perhaps you are try to push a format that it does not support?

PS try downloading the DMRA test application from the URL in my sig, and post the test log file here...

Thanks for the report. The report also shows that it failed when my app tried to push an MP3 to the player. Did you hear the test track?

If you heard nothing, perhaps there is something in the player's settings where you may have to specifically allow it to accept UPnP streams being pushed to it? Or maybe you need to select the right input to play?

Also, by the way, the report also says that it cannot play Ape, or Flac -- so you would need to set MC's server settings to output audio in PCM 16 bit no header.

Furthermore it shows that it does support gapless play -- so you can uncheck the "disable SetNext support" right click menu item.

And finally it shows that it might have a problem sending event messages, (but this may be an artificial error due to the whole track having failed to play). But if that error persists then try checking the "disable events" right click menu item..
