Non-standard key mapping

Just about every program I use follows the Windows convention of using Alt+Space+N to minimize. I can go through all my open programs and use that key combination successfully -- until I come to Media Center. That same key combination jumps to the next track on the playlist.

As a mouse-hating keyboard user, this kind of perfidy drives me up a wall. Please! Follow the Windows standards!

What version of MediaCenter are you using?  I have 9.1.251, and Alt+Space, N does mininimize it, just like all the other apps.

After JRiver switched to their new skinning engine, there were a few beta builds for which some Windows-standard things did not work, such as Alt-Space, and right-click system menus on the task bar.  AFAIK, they fixed all those things a dozen betas ago.

I've tried about every version except the most recent 2 builds (251, 252). I didn't see anything in the change list about fixing this issue.

In any case, Alt+space, N does not minimize for me with this program, though it does with almost all others. I wonder if you and I use the same skins and modes. I use PixOS and full mode.

How about trying .252 and getting back to us?

I just tried it, using the same skin and the same mode. It works.

I'm using Build 252 and the Metal skin, and <Alt-Space><n> works for me.  For that matter, so does <Alt-Space><Alt-n> (for those who are too lazy to lift their finger off the Alt key :)).

Maybe it's an OS and/or keyboard thing.  I'm runing XP Pro using Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro (using XP's built-in drivers, not IntelliKey).

OK, it does work. :P

I had been shying away from this version because of stability problems with .250. Here's hoping they've been resolved with .252.
