Hot key for "Add to playing now"?
« on: August 12, 2015, 10:48:22 am »

I can't find any hot key option for "Add to playing now"...

Is this not possible?

Cheers,
Michael

As far as I know, to map a key in MC you need a Media Center Core Command to map it to.  I don't think there's a command for "add to playing now".  Which is actually quite surprising now that you bring it up!  List of Core Commands:

There are commands in MCWS (the web service) for playing files.  I *think* MC can launch arbitrary commands from hot keys, like to external executables.  To do that you'd need some kind of executable script that called the MCWS web command, and somehow figured out which file you want to play.

I'm guessing that your use for this is something like:  Highlight file you want to play.  Hit key to add it to playing now.  Which is faster than right clicking and selecting from the menu.  I don't know a way to do that.  As usual, someone else may know a way I don't know.

Thanks - I'll check it out.

I think the developers should add a hot key possibillity for "Add to playing now" as this is must be an often used function (for me, anyway)...
