I installed JRiver 21 and all seemed fine, then as I looked through some video files everything turned into Chinese making jriver useless. I had to uninstall and then reinstall since my Chinese is quite sparse. Any idea as to why it would suddenly change language like that?

Not unless you went into the Tools --> Language menu.... I did that once by mistake!

I had a similar experience where it changed to Spanish. I was not in tools messing around. I was ripping a cd.
