Save this view?

On the List Style menu there are options to 'Save this view'. What does this do? It's not saving anything as far as I can tell.
I was hoping it would let me save details for tracks and thumbnails for albums but that's not happening.
Can't find anything about this in the help file.

I believe what you are refering to saves column sizes.
