I had my music on an external drive and copied them to a new ssd internal drive. I wan to use the new drive as the source and old drive as a backup. I assume I just need to go to JRiver file view and pick the new drive but the new drive is not showing up.

you have to either
- re-import the library (https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Import), pointing to the new location, or
- use the rename, move, copy tool (RMC) to update the database location (https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Moving_Files)

Thanks since I already copied all my file to a new disc I used the update database to point to a new location. It seemed to work well and fast,
