They're off and running!
If I've missed a name, please say so.
We're voting on who has been most generous and kind in helping others. There will be three winners, each of whom will get a box of Omaha Steaks or whatever is available for shipment to their country. The nomination thread is here (https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,117469.0.html).

Just saw this. Given our quarantine restrictions I'm not sure your Omaha Steaks (whatever they are) would be allowed in anyway.
Also, Please Vote (for anyone)!!! Otherwise, JimH is going to conclude we are all less than helpful and at this rate the entire Beta Team will get the sack! I've even resorted to voting for myself as I like it around here. The shame of it. :'(

Nebraska, where I grew up, was once called The Beef State. I grew up in Lincoln, about 50 miles more or less West from Omaha, but we had really good steaks there, too.
Omaha Steaks started as a butcher shop and now employs a couple thousand people.

When I was over there in Wagga Wagga, you just ordered a big steak - and if you could eat it all gungadin you are a better man than me. God! They were so good! Never heard of a brand though.

According to the World Steak Challenge (https://www.worldsteakchallenge.com/2018-winners/) for Australia it would be Jack's Creek (http://www.jackscreek.com.au/products/) who has won it a couple of times. Never had their steak (normally only sold to restaurants but it is now available from some butchers and on-line suppliers). I had a look at the Omaha Steaks website, it always amazes me you really can get pretty much anything via Mail Order in the US (even that box of live chooks!).

Nice! and you got the rule... Never call "Wagga Wagga, Wagga". Not sure why you want to go to Wagga Wagga but that is another issue :) The whole branding thing for meat is just catching on. You'd normally discuss who was a good butcher more than the brand of meat.

You can mail-order anything these days. :) Cooling boxes with dry ice can stay cool for a week or so.

Well fitbrit it seems to me that the russians don't have a clue as to what a poll about Omaha Steaks is, so they are staying well clear - like most other folk ;D

The response has been rather underwhelming. But people are busy.
Maybe it needs a link on the front page of the forum... but then again, the "Important Server" link there at the moment seemed to get missed by many.

Come on people. The people in the list give up their free time to help people like you, help make your life easier and help you enjoy the media that you treasure. Please take a few seconds out of your day to give them a token of appreciation.
If you've have someone help you out at any time in the past and they've taken time out of their day to personally help you please acknowledge their efforts. They do this for free and with such a low response people could wonder why they bother ::)
Update: With over 1000 views and 40 votes that's like a 4% turnout. I know this is isn't Brexit but it's not good.

This would be the ideal thing, since everyone else mentioned in the poll is most deserving and deserves the votes.
But, honestly? If I had the choice, I'd remove myself from the running in this poll. I'm just the type of person who helps out however I can just because I can and I don't do it for praise, appreciation, glory or whatever else you want to call it. I don't need prizes, winning contests and stuff like that as things like that never really interest me. I'm just happy to be a help when I can be, really. I'd rather those who haven't received votes yet to get the votes instead of me.

On a serious note (which is hard for me).... I firstly tip my hat firstly to the actual JRiver team. They work really well as a team and produce a fantastic product for a very reasonable price. I love the continual updates. Every week or so we get a new version with incremental updates that is a result of the feedback from the users of this community (you just do not get this dev cycle from any of the other commercial SW providers out there).
My second hat tip is to those that contribute these ideas, suggestions, and the support of newer users on this forum. Many of these are Old Hats represented by the Beta Team. From my perspective, it is great to see such a wide range of interest and expertise that not only helps other users, but also helps directed the development of MC. I also love that each of the regular contributors have their own expertise and area of interest and are happy to contribute their tips and techniques in their areas of knowledge, and between the group I thing we cover most topics pretty well.
Finally, how good is it we have a forum where all of this is done in a collegiate manner!?
