Exactly.

So one of the situations you might find this useful is if you use an external VST for audio analysis / metering, you can ensure you're seeing the 'full volume' signal, regardless of the volume control you have set in JRiver.

I'm using some VST plugins... If I set internal volume/ system volume/ aplication volume at 20% and check the "Process independently of internal volume" of each plugin then the plugins will get full signal/ dynamic range regardless the degree of JRiver main volume? Correct me if I'm wrong.
