Title: MJExtman.exe replaced with
Post by: datdude on May 18, 2005, 10:48:02 pm
3. Changed: MJExtman.exe replaced with "Media Center 11 Launcher.exe" in the system directory.

C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 11\Media Center.exe /MCC 10000,0

This previosly worked.  What do I need to type into the mouse program now?

Media Center 11 Launcher.exe /MCC 10000,0
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Media Center 11 Launcher.exe /MCC 10000,0

Tried the above 2 as well, and no dice!

Please help

Thanks

Yep, it was the quotes.  8) You said it was because of the spaces?  How do quotes solve this and why do spaces affect it?

Without quotes Windows tries to start a program named Media with parameters Center, 11, etc. A couple of syntax links: http://www.ss64.com/ntsyntax/esc.html & http://www.computerhope.com/cmd.htm#03.

Am I the only one who think it's a bit stupid to have mjextman replaced with Media Center 11 Launcher. I would prefer it to be without spaces so the quotes aren't needed.

But I might just be lazy  ;)

We're switching to an 8.3 name in the next build.

D'oh.  I already went through masses of my Girder gml twice now with the recent changes and it was a preverbial PITA.

Oh well I guess I'm well practised at it now.

risingdamp, get yourself a good XML-editor, like http://www.iol.ie/~pxe/. Then you can do a search/replace in seconds. That's what I use.  8)
