Title: Is this an issue with iPods and .122 - file type list?
Post by: BartMan01 on February 15, 2006, 10:30:45 pm
11.1.122 (02/15/06)

1. Changed: Handheld options only shows connected devices. (since MC doesn't know everything it would need to about disconnected devices)

The 'Files & Paths' option used to only appear when the iPod was not connected.  Best I can tell this is the only way to tell MC what file types the device supports.  Since the iPod no longer shows up when disconnected you can no longer modify these values.

Or does the system have a built in list of file types the different iPods support, and these values were ignored all along?

MC knows where to put files on an iPod and what file types the iPod supports. (depends on the generation of the iPod)  Allowing this to be configured when the iPod wasn't plugged in was a bug.
