Title: License question

I'd like some clarification on the MC license before I purchase. Does a single license cover only a single computer or does it cover all the computers I use. The reason I ask is, I use 3 computers (work, laptop, home-desktop), a separate license for all three would be too much (to me.)

It covers a reasonable number of "your" computers.  3 to 5 OK.  30 to 50 not OK.

Jim... Just wondering.  Do you offer anything resembling a "corporate license" where 30-50 computers would be acceptable for a flat fee (a site license, in other words)?

We haven't but we could.  We do discount to a few companies who resell licenses in volume.

Interesting....

So, if I decided to go into business building HTPC setups like I have at my house, including MC13, this could be arranged with you?  Not that I'm all-that-seriously considering such a move, but nice to know...

If there was a iPhone plugin (hint :D) I reckon I could talk my (rather large) employer into deploying MC as an alternative to iTunes.

I think most people who setup MC as a true media management system at home have considered building HTPC systems, or installing them.  It's a high end feature, too, so you could and would have to charge a lot for the complete system.  It really takes off as a system when you get multiple HTPCs around the house all linked to the same content.  Having one is cool but when it replaces your cable box or DVD player, it's golden.  We have a HTPC at every TV and that alone...no cable/satellite box.  No DVD player.  In the theater we did add a Denon Blu Ray player but that is literally the only player we have.

I should mention the HTPCs have a DVD drive, which is ultra convenient.
