Title: Xbox360 Media Extender and FLAC?
Post by: mirdle on January 24, 2012, 10:07:57 pm
Hello -

I love the ability to send .mp3 and .wma audio files to the Xbox360 Media Extender via JRiver.  Anyway to get this to work with .flac files?  For example, any way to convert .flac to .wmalossless on the fly?

Thanks.

Lossless WMA works.

Is there a way to send uncompressed on the fly?

Yes
I am not familiar with the XBox does it use a network interface or dlna.
The answer determines where to make the settings.

I'm not exactly sure.  I think it is network.  It shows up as a possible playing destination in the "Playing Now" menu from within J River.

So you have it setup as a zone?
