control JRiver from Terminal
« on: September 12, 2015, 05:47:50 am »

hi,

is there maybe a way to control JRiver 21 (Debian Linux) from terminal? Start a specific playlist and basic control like play/pause?

I am tinkering around with Home Automation with my Android phone and Tasker and would like to implement JRiver to be controlled with Tasker/AutoVoive.

Thanks very much for your help

The easiest way on linux right now is using the web service: http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Web_Service_Interface.

It's self-documenting and can do what you want.
