Default browser on Connected Media screen
« on: March 14, 2017, 05:08:23 am »

Windows 10, JRiver 21.90

The default browser of the system is Google Chrome. In JRiver, when I search for a webpage using the search field on the Connected Media interface, the results are also shown in Google Chrome. But when I right-click an entry of the list to open the linked page in a new window, I get it in Internet Explorer. I hate Microsoft's way of imposing the firm's software.

Is there a parameter in JRiver to correct this?

When using Google Chrome from the start, outside JRiver, right-clicking a link to open a new window opens it in Chrome, quite correctly.

Thanks for any help.

You can set the browser engine in MC.  The options page has a search at the bottom.

Thank you for the information.

The choice is quite restrictive (IE and Chromium). Anyway, I don't use JRiver for its browser capacities but as a media center...   ;)
