Windows 10
« on: May 23, 2016, 04:26:45 pm »

Hi, I posted this question in early May in the MC17 section and I can't get an answer. I just need a yes or no. Is MC version 17 compatible with windows 10. I may be forced to upgrade to 10 and I'm not sure they are compatible. I'm a babe in the woods on this computer stuff so I must have screwed it up in my early May posting.

Honestly I don't think we know.  You'd be better just upgrading to MC21.  It's developed on Windows 10.

And if you upgrade by June 5 you get MC21 and MC22

Just be aware that Windows 10 can have a problem with JRiver MC in that it can periodically kill the Start Menu and Notifications.

Which is a Windows 10 problem, not an MC problem.

Windows 10 doesn't seem to have a problem with PowerDVD, KODI, MediaPortal, Netflix App on my HTPC.

I've the same problem on a computer that doesn't run MC.

Perhaps Windows 8.1 is where it's best at.

Please use the older thread on this problem.
